Staff Profile – Richard Jenkins
Richard Jenkins started his role working for Brunel Security in January 2015 as the Operations Manager but has since then become Operations Director.
Richard works in the operations department and oversees this side of the business alongside the Operations Manager and is also currently working within the sales department to assist the Sales Manager to grow the sales team. In addition to this, he is working with the Managing Director to drive new business as well as the finance and marketing part of the business.
His main responsibilities include key account management, driving sales, working within the installation department and operational improvements and processes. He is an extremely valued member of the team and is an essential part of ensuring the smooth running of the business.
Prior to working at Brunel, Richard was Operations Manager at DV Networks (no longer trading). He worked to assist the MD with quoting & Project Management on large scale projects in London, projects such as The Shangri La Hotel – The Shard, The Athletes Village – Olympic Games and overseeing small works/quotes in Bristol.
What Richard enjoys most about Brunel Security is working with a hard-working team who all strive to improve and grow the business with support from a Managing Director who trusts him and the team to manage key areas of the business. He says ‘We also like to have a lot of social events (although currently not possible) with clients and the staff to ensure we have fun and laughter on the way’.
Outside of work Richard enjoys spending quality time with his family – his wife Kate, son Jude (5 years old), and daughter Jasmine (1 ½ years old). He also has a passion for Bristol City FC and football in general and is always up for socialising with friends and some beers!
